Description
Stay safe in hazardous environments with Energy Safety Canada’s H2S Alive Training in Calgary. Designed for individuals working in industries where hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas is a risk. This course provides skills and knowledge to handle H2S safely.
Energy Safety Canada’s H2S Alive certification is widely recognized and often required for jobs in oil and gas, constructions, and other high-risk industries. With experience instructors and up-to-date training methods, you’ll gain the confidence to work safely in H2S-prone environments.
Topics Covered
- Recognizing H2S hazards
- Understanding how H2S can effect your health
- Protective measures for working in H2S-prone environments
- Understanding and adhering to safety regulations and responsibilities applicable
- How to access and survey environments to check for signs of H2S
- How to stay safe in and around hydrogen sulfide (H2S) environments
- How to operate a variety of relevant safety equipment
- How to operate a self-contained breathing apparatus and a detector tube device
- How to perform a rescue lift or drag to help others in danger as well as other basic rescue techniques
Training Certificate
Upon successful completion of the training program, you will receive a training certificate that is valid for 3 years issued by Energy Safety Canada.

Rescheduling requests require:
• 72 hours’ notice (courses under $200)
• 7 days’ notice (courses over $200)
Bookings made within these notice periods are final and cannot be changed. With proper notice, we may assist with rescheduling, course upgrades, or transferring your seat to another participant.

Blended Course Requirements
To ensure the highest integrity, your exam is proctored. You must have a camera & microphone and agree to having them enabled. Older computers or slow internet may affect performance.
